Smart guesthouse on main route into city. Nice surroundings, good parking. Well equiped room in need of some sprucing. Bathroom floor grout. Cold radiators. Weak shower. New boiler required??? Like the lounge with honesty bar and comfy bed.

Excellent all round

Great hotel , easy bus ride to centre in 5 minutes and with plenty of free parking ! Spacious room and spotlessly clean. Sherry and shortbread a nice little touch. All staff were excellent as was the breakfast. Honesty bar lovely in a nice lounge , will definitely return.

Trip to celebrate mum's 90th birthday

We wanted a hotel that looked like a 'home', was close to the care home mum is in and one near a mall. Kildonan Lodge Hotel more than met our expectations so all boxes ticked. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast menu and also the dinner menu good. We found we could relax in this lovely hotel. Will we come back. Yes.

FAB!

We had a great stay! We arrived late due to our flight being delayed, but we were greeted and shown around as though it was 12 in the afternoon! Many thanks to everyone who made our stay a pleasant one

quaint but overpriced

Free sherry and shortbread was great; hotel and rooms tasetfully decorated - Less good however was the unexpectedly "powerless" shower and non-available wifi at the top of the hotel which meant I needed to buy 3G for 4 days. Cramp room and tiny window. Service was very friendly, you are made to feel welcome. All in all, price is really too high for what you get (compared to neighbouring guest houses where rest of our family was staying for 86 a night). Other rooms in hotel might be better - if you stay here, ask for something on the lower floors!

excellent

This hotel was amazing from the minute we arrived at front door! The decor is beautiful, the staff are amazing and our room was stunning. We had just a standard double but it was more than standard. We stayed from Friday to Sunday. The breakfast was brilliant, walked away feeling full and the food was cooked to an amazing standard. I seriously cannot find one thing to complain about. We will definitely be back and have even discussed staying here for our honeymoon. Excellent value for money and would recommend to the world and their wives lol. It's 10mins in a taxi from Waverly station and costs about £7 or a bus route right outside costing £1.50 to the city centre. can't find a single bad thing to say about this area or the hotel. X

Familiäres Traditionshaus

Das Hotel selber ist ziemlich "Old School" im besten Sinne. Die Zimmer sind hübsch, gepflegt, very British....sorry, scotish. Ein wenig rudimentär, aber liebevoll und sehr gemütlich. Das beste sind die Menschen vor Ort: freundlich, engagiert, interessiert und sehr zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist prima, das angebotene Abendessen im Hotel zwar nicht haute cuisine, aber durchaus zufriedenstellend. Alles in allem: sicher kein Fehler, sehr zu empfehlen!
