Very friendly welcoming staff. Excellent breakfast choice - buffet style but still adhering to Covid measures. Bed was comfortable and slept well. Swimming was well organised, felt safe. Only drawback were the amount of dogs at the hotel we didn’t realise it was a dog friendly hotel when booking - had to ask to be moved shortly after arrival due to a dog barking constantly in the room next door. Otherwise a lovely stay.

Great location. Bathroom in need of modernisation. Room very comfortable but would benefit from an update. Excellent breakfast.

It took over 40 minutes to check in and the first room I got was not made up from previous night. When I tried to ring down from the room the phone in the room did not working.

Looks better than it is

Pool area looked uninviting steam room not working drinks expensive staff few and far between breakfast was diabolical 4 star no way more like 2/3 star ... shower in bathroom not flexible ..just rubbish all round will never stay with mercure again .. positive was the hotel is situated in a nice quiet area with some nice food and drink places nearby ... very disappointed with this hotel !!

Cons: There is a smokers corner next door to the front entrance. The smoke drift into the entrance hall and you see people intent on killing themselves
Good in general but not happy about the smokers table near the entrance hall
