Great location, tired hotel

Fabulous location, and if the kitchen is useful for you, worth a look. It is a bit tired though - lots of brown furniture and a few scuffs.

Great Stay

Stayed for 4 nights in Family Room (3702) which was at back of hotel and had a balcony from which you could see the Pantheon. Room was great but location of toilet was strange being downstairs when the bathroom was upstairs!! Unlimited coffee, milk chocolate and iced water in reception was a great bonus. Wifi was disaappointing as many people have pointed out but there were 4 computers in reception which you could use if you needed to get online. Being near the latin quarter there were numerous restaurants with fixed price menus which made eating out a VFM experience. If you walk to the Eiffel Tower follow the banks of the Seine as there is plenty to see. Altogether a great base for a family holiday in Paris.

Making special memories in Paris

Just back from a fabulous 4 night mid week break in Paris. Staying in Citadines St Germaine Des Prés was an excellent choice super location, spacious studio apartment (the basic size) plus superbly helpful desk / concierge staff. We were warmly greeted on our arrival and the smiles just kept coming. Delicious free coffee/tea/hot choc available 24 hours per day in the airy bright lobby. Citadines at St Germaine is within walking distance of so many sights especially Le Lourve and Museé D'Orsy, a great benefit to beat the unreal queues for everywhere by being up and out early. Walking along the Rive Gauche or standing on the Pont Neuf (beside the Citadines) in the moonlight is a memory I won't forget. Also loads of excellent restaurants and wine bars in the area - just go one or two streets off the tourist trail. One down side of Paris is the local city tax when checking out of the hotel - have your €20 ready!

Birthday Treat

Arrived at 9.00 am. Our room was ready and waiting for us. Reception was most welcomming and very informative. Told us of the supermarkest that were open as we were staying in apart- hotel. The suite was spacious, spotless and with a fully equipped kitchen, it even has a sissors in the drawer. We had tea, coffee and wonderful hot chocolate at our disposal all day long free of charge. All the staff were so friendly and helpfull. Self service breakfast was diverse and plentifull. We ate heartily before venturing out. Although the room did not have a view this was not a problem as we were in a superb location. Notre Dame just a short walk away as was the Louvre in front of the hotel. Metro link 4 minutes walk. It is also ideally located for visiting many other beautiful sites in Paris. We will be back again and would highly recommend this hotel without reservation. This hotel is very suitable for business, couples or families.

Great base

Great base for exploring Paris, next to the river and a few minutes from the RER and Metro. Lovely room overlooking the Eiffel equipped with everything needed to prepare a meal.

One of the best Citadines

If you're prepared to pay the supplement as we did for a room overlooking the Seine this is one of the most wonderful locations in Paris. As in London, north of the river tends to have better access to more of the metro but St Michel is only 200 yards from the Citadines and is on Metro and RER. Louvre and Notre Dame are easily walkable. The staff are excellent.

Great location

This is a great way to do Paris, especially if you have kids who maybe fussy about what they eat etc. We had room 2504 which was an upgrade Club 1 bedroom apartment with river view. The river view is worth the extra cash on it's own. Book these early though as there are not that many with a view over the Seine. It is not noisy as the windows have very good noise insulation. There is a bedroom which can be divided into two twin beds and a small kitchen with hob ( no oven) microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer etc and all utensils and a sitting room with a sofabed. Not the most comfy in the world, but it is fine. There are supermarkets nearby where you can get everything you need. Given that you can pay 8 euros for a coke and 10 for a beer in a cafe - not such a bad option! We did a mix and match of eating in and out - made it cheaper and more relaxed. The decor is a bit dated ( swirly brown carpets) and it is smaller than the photos make it look, but it was more than fine for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The staff at the apart-hotel are great and speak English very well. They are very helpful. The breakfast is usually extra ( approx 12 euro pp) and is not worth it to be frank. It is just a continental buffet and not wonderful and not worth the money. Ours was free as part of the upgrade, but I would not pay extra for it having experienced it. The key is the location though - in the left bank, with the book sellers opposite - you come out and can stroll in either direction up to Notre Dame ( 10 mins ) or the Louvre ( 10 mins) and you within 5 mins of a Bateau Bus stop ( water bus).....we loved every minute and would recommend!
