With the exception of 2 miserable waiting staff we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in this lovely hotel. Having a room overlooking the lake was an added bonus and thought it was a lovely touch having beautiful cakes in our room and 2 free drinks to celebrate our wedding anniversary. There were even towels made into swans and petals on the bed. Highly recommend this hotel and very pleasant staff so will return again 🙂

Great location in retail park, centrally located between Cardiff, st Fagans and Cardiff Airport. Great staff and clean property, nice food, though rooms are now showing signs of age, could do with redecorating.

Convenient to motorway

Hotel is convenient to motorway on outskirts of Cardiff. Breakfast was excellent but bar food basic. Stayed during snow storm hotel didn’t clear away snow from turning circle at front door. Bar staff service very poor except for Mark. Waited 30 minutes for a latte. Handed it back and was heated in microwave as cup burned my lips. Had to stay additional night due to snow and finally manager showed some courtesy after a chat. Hotel was not consistent. Some staff were excellent, some of the food was good, some inedible, overall was not happy with my stay but accommodation and rooms were excellent.

Good hotel, well sited for transport links

Pros: Site, room and food
Cons: Bar staffs attitude.
Location: Ideally positioned a little to the east of Cardiff with direct access to the M4, easy access to the Bay and ten minutes to the City Centre by car.
A really nice hotel for travellers. Reception staff friendly and efficient. The room was spacious, well appointed and clean but the bed was quite hard. I found the bar staff to be pretty arrogant and off hand but the restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast offered an excellent choice of good quality, well cooked, food. A hotel I would use again.
