Ideal for a short Paris break

Pros: The hotel is tastefully decorated and the reception area has a nice "old charm feel" about it. We found all the staff to be friendly & courteous.
Cons: The room size is perfectly adequate but may not appeal to those who are used to acres of space.
Location: Just round the corner is the Montparnasse Tower and 15 Euros will get you up to the 56th floor, with access to the rooftop and some great views!
Arriving at Gare du Nord, we wanted a hotel that was easy to get to and within reach of all the major sights. So, having bought our Carnet des Billets (10 for 15 Euros) we used the Metro and went South on Line 4. The hotel is only a short walk from St Placide station. On arrival, we were unexpectedly upgraded from a Traditional Double and the room had been refurbished to a high standard, complete with mini-bar and the all important room safe. Breakfast is self serve from 7am - 11am and typically continental. For dinner, the hotel is only four stops on the Metro to Saint Michel which has plenty of cafes and bistros to cater for all tastes. For those still hungry or wanting a chocolate fix, there is a small Fran Prix supermarket open to 10pm which is on the same side of the road as the hotel. The hotel is in a good location for getting around - e.g. the 95 bus from next to St Placide Metro will take you directly to The Louvre. The bus system is excellent - when you validate your Carnet ticket on the bus, it covers you for a 90 min period up to the last validation, which means you can transfer between buses without paying twice! (TfL should take note). We used this method to get back from the Arc de Triomphe to Saint Michel and, apart from resting sore feet, is a different way of seeing Paris without diving underground! We managed to pack a lot in over 2 full days and visited The Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle & Montmartre. A memorable trip!

Recommended

Excellent hotel, very chic decor, friendly staff. Good location for food, drink & Metro station at Montparnasse. Minor gripes - some hooks for coats would be good, as would a mirror accessible from a plug socket.

Weekend Away

Late arrival on a friday evening only to find hotel had no record of the booking. Entrance was just as in the photos - very smart - but the decor did not extend to our small room at the back of the hotel. Total cost £450 incl breakfast for 2 for 2 nights.

Hotel Aviatic Monparnasse

Excellent location - good access to Metro and main station. Staff very friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean, sheets and towels changed daily. Would definitely reccommend. Will use again.

Die Lage des Hotel ist sehr gut, mit drei bis vier Metrostationen in der Nähe plus diversen Buslinien, erschlossen. Alle Angestellten waren ausserordentlich zuvorkommend, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Interior des Hotels und der Zimmer iat sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, ebenso der ganz kleine Hof. Sehr sympathisch war auch der vom Hotel täglich offerierte Apéro im hübschen Aufenthaltsraum, in dem auch diverse edle Spiele zur Verfügung standen. Das aufs Zimmer bestellte Frühstück war äusserst schmackhaft und hübsch in weissem Geschirr serviert, auch für Confiture und Joghurt- also ganz ohne billige Wegwerfverpackungen oder Plastik. - Kurz: Alles in allem, ein sehr zu empfehlendes Haus.

Näppärä boutique-hotelli

Intiimihkö ja rauhallinen boutique-hotelli hyvien kulkuyhteyksien äärellä (useita metroasemia lähellä). Huone melko pieni, mutta muutaman yön lomalla ei haitannut lainkaan. Läheltä löytyy kahviloita ja ravintoloita sekä mm. tavaratalo. Hotelli tarjosi illalla pientä purtavaa sekä palanpainiketta (kahvia,teetä,mehua,viiniä) ilmaiseksi, mikä ilahdutti suuresti pitkän päivän nähtävyyksiä kierrellyttä matkailijaa.

Erg fijn hotel

Twee goede nachten gehad in dit hotel, met één keer gebruik van het ontbijt. Niet heel erg bijzonder, maar van prima kwaliteit. Parkeren werd ons aangeboden voor 38 euro per nacht. Vrij prijzig, dus even verder gezocht (tip: onder de Montparnasse toren, 32 euro voor het weekend vrij 17u - ma 12u). Hierover mailcontact gehad met het hotel. Waren uiterst behulpzaam en gaven zelfs een tip voor parkeren in de buurt. Erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, en mooie kamers.

Naisten reissu

Hotellin henkilökunta oli todella ystävällistä ja puhui hyvää englantia. Pieni, kodikas hotelli, josta lyhyt matka metropysäkille ja kaupungin parhaimpiin nähtävyyksiin. Voin suositella.

Mukava hotelli, ystävällinen palvelu

Henkilökunta oli todella auttavaista ja ystävällistä. Aamupala oli hyvä, mutta ei kuulunut hintaan, maksoi 14 euroa per aamu. Huoneessa oli kosteaa, mutta lämmintä. Huone oli todella hiljainen, kadulla vähän liikennettä. Joulun kunniaksi aamiaisella oli tarjolla shampanjaa ja muita herkkuja.
