The property is shabby, the rooms are dirty and the staff are rude.

Good location,but disappointing Hotel

Pros: Its Location
Cons: The price. far too expensive for what was on offer.
Location: Jorvik centre and the Minster are all walking distance. Recommend doing the ghost walk that goes from the Shambles, really good laugh had by all.
The hotel is above a pub. Which obviously has it issues as it was very loud on the weekends. Especially as our room was above the bar area. The pub/hotel doesn't offer breakfast or offers food. There is however a very nice cafe across the road for breakfast and good place to eat near by. The hotel isnt really worth the price it is charging to stay there. Rooms are clean but that about it really. York, the city, is fantastic.

Very central basic hotel

This is ideally situated in centre of York. It has new owners and they have redecorated and cleaned rooms. It’s a bit rough around the edges but hopefully over next 12 months will get there. Plus points Cleanliness Location Friendly owners Minus points Not finished eg mirrors missing not all radiators working Noisy it’s on a main road junction No staff there after pub closes or before 10am
