Forget public transport - get a taxi!

Always allow more than enough time for your journey though. The most efficient way to travel to and from either of the airports in San Paolo is by taxi. Reasonably priced, they offer a safe way of getting about. International travellers arrive at the Guarulhos Airport . From here the Airport Bus Service (costing the equivalent of £12) connects the airport with the city. But despite San Paulo being only 16 miles away, the bus journey might take one or two hours, depending on traffic. Domestic Congonhas Airport is even closer - just seven miles from the city, it is also best reached by taxi.

"From the time we checked in to our departure the service was excellent. The staff went out of their way to help. It was nice to be able to walk to an antique fair on at the racecourse. To all the staff a thank you for a very pleasant stay probably the best we have stayed in all our years of travelling ..."
