Nice hotel closed to the beach

The hotel staffs are so nice and polite. And will stay this hotel more when I come back.

Comfortable and central

Pros: I loved the service of staff and the location as well as our spacious and comfortable room.
Cons: The general area and street of the hotel did not feel the safest but that did not impact our visit.
Location: The port and the metro are very close and there are decent shops along the port as well as lovely cafes and bars.
After a 6 hour ferry journey from Ios we chose a central hotel within walking distance of the port. It was a 15 minute walk which was fantastic as taxis are very expensive. We were greeted on arrival and our room was gorgeous for only €48 we were given two complimentary drinks to our room. We had two double beds it was very spacious and the air conditioning and wifi worked perfectly. We ate at the hotel which was very affordable big portions and very friendly staff with good English. Although the area was quite rough it is very central and we felt very safe in our hotel just not safe enough to have a wander around at night time.Overall the hotel itself was extremely comfortable and a great experience in a perfect location as we also walked to the metro the next day within 20 minutes.

Very friendly hotel

We really enjoyed our 4day stay ,The hotel was very clean and bright ,the staff were all very friendly and helpful,the service was really good with lots of extras,a free sangria on arrival ,unexpected free yoghurt desserts after dinner,the food was good and reasonably priced We booked very last minute and we hadn't realised that we would have to go into Athens by public transport ,it wasn't a problem for us as there are good tickets for the metro etc ,it was a bit of a scruffy area but ideally situated for the port to the islands

Ideal location

Ideally located close to the port of Piraeus with friendly efficient staff and a huge breakfast available for those with early morning appetites. Nothing has ever been too much trouble for the staff (they even make ferry reservations for you). I always use this hotel when returning from the Islands en route for the airport and have never been disapointed.

Great stop-over in Piraeus

I use this value for money hotel in Piraeus every time I travel to the Greek Islands and have never had a problem. Rooms are clean, staff are friendly, it is well placed for the port and one of the best Thai restaurants outside Bangkok is almost opposite.

Good City Hotel

The Faros 1 is well located close to the main gates of Piraeus port but on a quiet side street. The hotel is comfortable and well maintained with a good choice of quality restaurants and bars within a 10 - 15 minute walk to the Zea Marina, where the locals come out at night to promenade. Good as a base for visiting Athens' historic sights or for doing day excursions to the nearby islands
