This hotel was awful! Don’t believe the reviews online! Our room reeked of body odour! We had to open the windows to let some fresh air in but it didn’t help! The bathroom also smelled so bad! The cheap furniture was practically hanging off the walls. The windows opened fully out with no safety latch and what easily could be a fatal fall if you stretched too far out! The bathroom had a disgusting, exposed toilet brush in it and the room paint was chipped everywhere! The hotel itself is very close to the station and in a run down part of the city! Avoid this hotel at all costs! The night shift guy at reception was really kind but the hotel itself is a big no no!

Once in a lifetime family trip

We had a low expectation for this holiday because of the recent terrorist attact but it turns out to be supremely incomparable compare to most holidays. Staff are so friendly and helpful.

Very nice hotel

A very nice hotel, only thing was we weren't able to change rooms from a double to a twin. Beautiful reception and very nice comfortable rooms! Only a short walk into the main part of Brussels

Family weekend

We stayed at the Augustin for a visit to Brussels. The hotel was comfortable, recently refurbished and ideally located to the city centre 10min walk, the train station and local metro again 19 min walk. No negative comments as it suited all out expectations

No rooms moved to another hotel

After arriving at the hotel to check in, we were informed that due to some work in the hotel that they didn't have any rooms for us (despite booking 2 months in advance) and we were moved to a sister hotel. The receptionist was apologetic and paid for a taxi to the other hotel although it was further away from the centre than this one. I had been in touch with the hotel via email a few weeks prior and was disappointed that we weren't informed of this until we checked in.

Lovely hotel, great location

Nice hotel 10 mins walk from Midi train station and 10 mins from main square/market square. Spotless clean, friendly pleasant staff, beautiful breakfast. Prob one issue is there is no where to sit or meet people - bar was not open but lots of cafes and bars around the area - 2 mins walk. Very good price to stay. Quiet hotel also. Recommended. Only do breakfast.

Good value

This is a good value hotel in the centre of Brussels, very near the Metro. The staff on the reception desk are not very friendly or welcoming. The plug in my basin was broken and had not been fixed and the minibar was empty. Breakfast was fine and I've no other complaints. There isn't much difference between this and the Floris Ustel, which is quite a bit cheaper.

less than expected

I have been to several 4 star hotels around the world, but this one is 4 star only by name. Rooms were ok, breakfast was pretty simple. It should have been a lot more in quality for the 4 stars and the price. Overall it was a huge disappointment...
