Style of decor, service, dinner and breakfast choices are excellent. The negatives are: 1 - lack of air-con. We stayed in early July, outside temperature was in latee teens to early 20s during the day but the executive suite that we stayed in but stifling hot, despite fans being provided. 2 - the suite was not vacuumed early. 3 - our towels appear to be replaced daily, which is not environmenally friendly.

A cut above the average seaside hotel

Pros: Location, staff, lounge and restaurant
Cons: Had a standard double room - very small. Nicely fitted bathroom apart from very small shower cubicle - just about got in and turned around
Location: Right on the seafront in Douglas, town centre is a 5 minute walk away. Convenient base to explore the island
Stayed for one night. Check in and out were very efficient. Didn't have an evening meal in the hotel but breakfast was very good

double bed size a bit small, otherwise a good choice

The staff are the correct amount of friendliness at breakfast time. We did not eat an evening meal as there are great restaurants in North Quay and being smaller than this hotel we experienced a better atmosphere. The room was smaller than we normally get in a 4* and resulted in a smaller bed (we are normal size people). Reception were helpful in locating our return bus to the airport. No big problems here.

business trip an improving hotel?

friendly reception, room allocated on first floor off corridor undergoing refurbishment. Room looked out on to back of hotel flat roof. Dull and uninspiring view with grey outlook and water cascading throughout the night ? from blocked gutters. Room clean and warm. Breakfast good and hearty, despite running out of kippers! Friendly staff lent me an umbrella and offered complimentary coffee in the lounge. Housekeeper obliging in allowing me to stay after check out until 1pm. An improving hotel

Loistava merinäköala

Pros: Kts yllä
Cons: Osassa huoneista remontti menossa.
Location: Sekä höyry-että tram-junan lähtöasemat kävelymatkan päässä. Myös ostoskadut lähellä. Ooppera ja teatterikin lähellä.
Hyvällä paikalla. Lentokentältä tuleva bussi pysähtyi vieressä ja lauttaterminaali aivan lähellä. Huoneesta loistava merinäköala. Kylpyhuoneessa sekä amme että käsisuihku. Aamiainen runsas.
