Next to the train station, old town is just few minutes ahead. Nice room, spacious, lovely bed. Breakfast was good. Unfortunately on check out the girl was a bit rude. Overall a nice hotel and I would recommend, specially if you have a train to catch early or if you are looking for a room with a bath to relax after a long day walking

Well appointed Hotel

Pros: Helpful staff, location
Cons: Instructions for changing the language on the TV. My room had films in English but the same channels on my parents TV was Polish.
Location: Location great for train station and was walking distance to old town, river and shopping.
Spent five days in Gdansk staying at the Scandic. Hotel well placed for public transport and the old town. We didn't eat at the Hotel but service was quick to deliver extra towels, pillows and coffee.

Pros: Good location, near railway station, old town, breakfast was good
Everything was fine, room was quiet, friendly staff, location near city centre, for short stay a good choice.

weekend away

The Scandic is about 10 minutes walk from the old town which has most of the cities attractions. It is situated on a busy main road across from the railway station but with the window closed there was absolutely no noise. The room is very comfortable and has all you need for your stay. Prices in the hotel are higher than those in the surrounding cafes and restaurants, but still much cheaper than those in the UK. The staff were welcoming and friendly and were happy to help where needed. Similar room price at home would be higher so a real bargain there.

I am used to work in my hotel room. Unfortunately lighting was too dark. The room made me sleepy and working was too difficult. Also in this price level room I am expecting body lotion or same kind products. Not just shampoo and soap. Anyway breakfast good, the hotel was very well located. Anyway very good choice
