The hotel is a minute from Glasgow Central Station so perfect for a base to visit the city centre. The room we stayed in was quite basic and a bit tired but they are doing up all of the rooms and apparently the revamped ones are lovely

Very nice hotel in the heart of Glasgow

To be honest, my stay at Rennie Central in Glasgow was one of the nicest stays so far. I got to Glasgow very late, and not only the staff at Rennie Central was very friendly and waiting for me, but the hotel itself was closer than I expected to the train station (literally 2 minutes walk). On check-in, I was given a very nice room (tiny, as expected, but clean and very comfortable). It is very hard to find complimentary drinks in any hotel nowadays, and it was extremely nice of Rennie Central to provide water and warm drinks - very, very appreciated. During my stay, the staff was always extremely nice, approachable and friendly - even offered to store my luggage while in an interview with the Medical School!! Thank you very much for everything, and fingers crossed my interview went well, so I can come back!!

Great budget hotel in central Glasgow

Pros: Good all round value for money, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast
Cons: Make it a wee bit clearer when booking that its a continental breakfast that's included (not full english) full english available at £3 surcharge.
Location: Good city centre location, very good Chinese Buffet Restaurant a couple of doors away
Our stay was enjoyable, triple room was very spacious, staff were all very friendly, full English breakfast was lovely, the buffet style continental breakfast was well stocked and very nice. Only negative thing about our stay was the stairs, it is clearly stated on the web page that unfortunately there is no lift & boy are the stairs steep, we weren't effected as we were on the first floor but definately not suitable for people with limited mobility, the hotel is very central, can be a wee bit noisy as busy road outside but nothing to complain about just typical noise from busy street. Taxi's available just outside or round the corner at main entrance to central station. All in all a great wee discovery, good value for money, will definately be back and will have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to others.

Great location by Central Station.

Pros: Clean, efficient, good value.
Cons: Shower could be stronger, but was adequate. Coffee from machine was not the best but drinkable.
Location: Central location within walking distance of main attractions, shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs.
Perfect location after a long journey by train from London. Hotel is right next to Glasgow Central Station. Warm welcome from staff. Room has all you need, including kettle, tea and coffee. Very comfortable bed, good quality bed linen and towels. Guests' lounge has a bar and a machine for free hot drinks, with a choice of various fruit teas too. Great breakfast. Altogether a very satisfactory stay, and good value. Would stay again.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your stay. We are one of the last historic building, part of Grahamstone Village dated back to 1680’s. Unfortunately, we do not have a lift largely due to the layout of the building. We are somewhat restricted with the historical importance of the building. I am sorry for this and thank you for also highlighting the more positive aspects of your stay. Hopefully, you will visit us again the future.

I'll be back!!!!

Pros: The location was perfect and the staff were great. I loved everything about the hotel.
Cons: Unfortunately my TV wasn't working when I arrived and after spending my three nights there they still hadn't got it working!!!!
Location: The hotel is less than a minute's walk from Glasgow Central Station and it's in the midst of lots of restaurants and shops
It was my first visit to Scotland and I really enjoyed my stay! The staff were wonderful, great location, great breakfast and a very comfortable bed. Unfortunately my TV wasn't working but, when it was raining, I had the option of watching the one downstairs in the bar. I'm going back in the Spring!

Good Staff and Nice Hospitality

Pros: Location and Staff
Cons: Cant say anything, looks everything okay
Location: Location is very convenient for anything to do in the town
Hotel location is very convenient, just next to the central railway station and facing to main road, middle of the Glasgow town. Hotel staff is very good and friendly, rooms are bit small but okay and clean, breakfast is good and tasty, I can recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to Glasgow.

Decent, but needs a bit of work.

Great location, nice enough hotel, pretty average breakfast. On arrival the staff attempted to get me to pay for the rooms even after I had already paid when booking the rooms. I had to show them my online bank statement to prove that I had. But the staff were pleasant about it. The shower in my bathroom wasn't great, the water pressure was too low. The main problems with the hotel was that firstly there were some strange vibrations that ran through the floor every now and again, waking myself and my friends up a few times.Secondly, there is only wifi available in the hotel's lounge, not in the rooms. The rooms were also very warm, almost unbearably. But other than that, a decent hotel for the price.

for one night...

We were in the Rennie Mackintosh Station Hotel for just one night, so we didn't spend much time there but all in all it was satisfying for a short stay.
