Nice Hotel The Tuscany

Great hotel on E39th street, rooms lovely and right on the doorstep of 5th Ave, Times Square etc. Complementary Tea/Coffee in the mornings. Staff excellent and the Gentleman on the Door was very helpful with directions and we had a good chat with him regarding Soccer/Football/ Weather etc

Convenient location, Clean, comfortable

Lots going on in the neighborhood. Restaurants and shopping all in walking distance. Rooms and decor were modern and the hotel was in good condition.

Great short break

5 night stay. 3rd floor. Room ready on arrival and was huge by NY standards. No in-room tea & coffee machine so take yr travel kettle. Iron & board provided in the room. Room was above a noisy eatery with loud music until early hours so request a high floor to avoid this. Also from our room you could hear a curious (unexplained by staff) sound like a ship's fog-horn for about 5 seconds every couple of minutes throughout the day / night so you'll need ear plugs. Staff v polite & helpful. Location great : 10 mins walk from 5 th Ave, Grand Central Station (subway access) and Empire State Building. 25 mins to Central Park. 3 mins to a Pret a Manger, a large convenience store / pharmacy and several bars / restaurants. Breakfast is at the next-door Court Hotel. Reasonable choices. Set menu or a la carte. Luggage store : we left it all after check-out, returned and changed for overnight flight in large ground-floor rest room. Hotel arranged black car to airport. On time. All in all very satisfied.

Great hotel in an ideal location!!

After searching and searching for a hotel we found the Tuscany, on the map it looked a little further out that we had wanted but we knew we didn't want to stay on Times Square (it's MANIC!) but it looked great. Well, what can I say, great staff, really helpful and friendly, we were on the 9th floor with a view of the Empire State Building, and the room was great, really quite big for the location and the money. THE BEST shower I have ever had whilst on a trip! The lobby and neighbouring restaurants always had stuff going on but after a long day of sight seeing and shopping we just wanted to have a bit of peace, which our room gave us - we didn't hear a peep out of our neighbours and we couldn't hear the hussle and bustle of downstairs or outside (the odd siren but it is NYC!). Anyway perfectly located for everything, 5 min walk to grand central, 15 mins to Times Square and Broadway, 20 mins to the Rockefeller (which is a must), 20 minutes to Maddison Square Gardens (if you want to watch a NBA game - we watched the Knicks, great experience) and 20/25 mins to Central Park. Also, the tube once you have you head round it is really easy to use and we made it to the financial district in 15 mins which also made the route to get the ferry for the Statue of Liberty. If you really want the American diner experience there is also Scottys diner which is literally a stone throw away, open 24 hours and has EVERYTHING you could want!! Amazing hotel, in a great location. Comes highly recommended from us!

New York - Wow !

Room was spacious, spotlessly clean and with great skyline views. Hotel staff were helpful and attentive without going overboard. Everything we could have wished for and more as the location was perfect for our first trip to the Big Apple !

Christmas/New Year Break

Great hotel for a short break. Well located just around the corner from Grand Central Station making it ideal to get anywhere on the subway. Upon arrival we were upgraded for no extra cost. The staff could not be more helpful and polite. The only small issue we had was that the room was not particularly clean but only a small issue.

Great birthday treat

Can't fault this hotel. Great location, friendly and polite staff and very comfortable bed. The only grumble is the quality of the wifi connection, as this dropped regularly, but you don't go on vacation for keeping in touch with the world back home do you?

Lovely stay

Very conveniently located hotel with very large comfy rooms. The chap on reception was extremely helpful. if you're hungry look no further than Scotty's Diner or Blooms Café round the corner. My only niggle would be that the room could have been cleaner, there was a lot of dust visible and a bit of mould round the windows. The shower could have been cleaned more thoroughly too.

Enjoyable stay at Tuscany

Good location about 5 mins walk to Grand Central Station . We had room 601 which was nice and quiet being located at the rear of the hotel. Large corner room with king size bed and view of Empire State Building . Room also had a walk in closet with safe and a dressing area . Good powerful shower . The only negative point is that the sushi bar was not open for 2 of the nights we were there. Would have been nice to have a nightcap but no big deal. Plenty other pubs around . I would return to this hotel.

great new york break

the tuscany is in a great location to either walk or get transport to either down town or up town we had a superb room with a view of the chrysler building ,staff were exceptionally nice and friendly and most of all helpful when we go back to nyc this is the hotel I want to go back to !!
