ebookers BONUS+ Terms and Conditions
1. INTRODUCTION
Effective as of 5 June 2024
The ebookers BONUS+ programme ("Programme") is offered to registered users of the Site at the sole discretion of Expedia Inc. (“ebookers”), and is open only to individuals who have a valid email address and who are eighteen years of age and older. Participation in the Programme is void if prohibited by law in Your country of residence. The terms "You" and "Your" throughout these Terms and Conditions refer to any member and any person eligible to participate in the Programme, as applicable.
By participating in the Programme members can earn “BONUS+” for booking and completing eligible travel through ebookers.com and redeem available BONUS+ against eligible hotel stays, subject always to these Terms and Conditions and the availability of eligible travel and reward items.
These Terms & Conditions govern Your participation in the Programme. By joining, You agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Your continued participation in the Programme constitutes Your acceptance of any changes to these Terms and Conditions. You are responsible for remaining knowledgeable as to any changes that ebookers may make to these Terms and Conditions. The most current version of these Terms and Conditions will be available on the Site and will supersede all previous versions of these Terms and Conditions.
The Programme is ending on 4 September 2024, and You will not be able to earn or redeem BONUS+, or use any benefits of the Programme after this time. Please see here for more details.
2. DEFINITIONS
“BONUS+” is the base unit of measurement in the ebookers BONUS+ programme. The notional value of one (1) BONUS+ point is equal to a notional credit of one (1) GBP to be used against the price of an ebookers BONUS+ Redeemable Hotel. This is subject to amendment in accordance with sections 5 and 7 below.
“ebookers BONUS+ member” / “member” means any person who is enrolled in the ebookers BONUS+ Programme and is thus eligible to earn and redeem BONUS+. The term ebookers BONUS+ member includes Silver members, Gold members and Platinum members.
“Eligible Booking" means any Eligible Flight booking, Eligible Hotel booking and/or Eligible Package booking made through the Site that is completed (not cancelled) by the member. Any other bookings including but not limited to cruise bookings, standalone car hire bookings, hotel bookings paid for at the hotel itself, activity bookings, insurance (whether standalone or added to bookings) and any bookings made on third party sites that may operate in partnership with ebookers will not be Eligible Bookings.
“Eligible Flight” means any stand-alone flight booked on the Site.
“Eligible Hotel” means any pre-paid stand-alone hotel booking that shows a BONUS+ “earn” amount next to it and which is available to be booked on the Site.
“Eligible Package” means any dynamic package booked on the Site, including the following combinations: Flight+Hotel, Flight+Car, Hotel+Car, Flight+Hotel+Car.
“Gold member” means a member who has achieved tier two status in the Programme. To qualify for and maintain Gold member status You must book and stay 4 room nights at an eligible Hotel within a/each calendar year.
“Join Date” means the date at which You join the Programme.
“Member ID” means the e-mail address You use (with Your password) to sign in to the Site.
“Platinum member” means a member who has achieved tier three status in the Programme. To qualify for and maintain Platinum member status You must book and stay 12 room nights at an Eligible Hotel within a/each calendar year.
“Redeemable Hotel” means any pre-paid stand-alone hotel booking that shows a BONUS+ “earn” amount next to it and which is available to be booked on the Site.
“Silver member” means a member who has joined the Programme and is not a Gold member or Platinum member. To qualify for and maintain silver status You must remain a member of the Programme.
“Site” means the ebookers.com website.
3. MEMBERSHIP
You will be enrolled in the Programme upon creating an ebookers account, or upon signing in to your existing ebookers account. Upon enrolment, You will be issued an ebookers BONUS+ account. Your BONUS+ account is automatically linked to Your ebookers account. Your Member ID that is linked to Your ebookers account will be Your login email address for Your BONUS+ account.
ebookers reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to deny You registration, de-link Your account, or terminate Your ability to use BONUS+ on the Site for any reason.
Membership with ebookers BONUS+ is not transferable.
As an enrolled member of the Programme, You will receive regular account servicing updates by email and other email notifications.
Information about Your ebookers BONUS+ account can be accessed in Your “My ebookers BONUS+” section of Your “My Account” page. Information includes but is not limited to Your Member ID, BONUS+ balance, tier status (Silver member, Gold member, Platinum member) and account history (BONUS+ earned and redeemed). You must be signed in to the Site to view Your account.
ebookers BONUS+ Membership Tiers
There are three membership tiers in ebookers BONUS+. The entry level is Silver member. Members may progress to Gold member (tier two) and then to Platinum member (tier three) by booking and staying nights in Eligible Hotels as follows:
Silver Member: To qualify for Silver Member status, which is the base tier of the Programme, You will need to join the Programme and accept and adhere to the Terms & Conditions of the Programme.
Gold Member: To qualify for Gold Member status, which is the second tier of the Programme, You will need to be first be a Silver member and then book and stay at least four (4) Eligible Hotel room nights within a/each calendar year.
Platinum Member: To qualify for the Platinum Member tier which is the third and highest tier of the Programme, You will need to first be a Gold Member and book and stay at least twelve (12) Eligible Hotel room nights within a/each calendar year.

For Your Eligible Hotel booking to count towards tier status You must be a member and You must either (i) be signed in to the Site when making Your Eligible Hotel booking, or (ii) if you are not signed in to the Site, provide Your Member ID in the e-mail address field on the booking form when making Your Eligible Hotel booking.
Your ebookers BONUS+ account will be updated with Your new tier status within 24 hours of check-in on the Eligible Hotel booking that qualifies You for that status.
BONUS+ earned does not contribute to tier status. Tier status can only be achieved through Eligible Hotel bookings and stays. If Your account is deactivated, ebookers reserves the right to expire Your BONUS+ and tier status.
If You extend or shorten Your stay at an Eligible Hotel through ebookers, we will take those room nights into account and count those nights towards or against Your tier status, respectively.
ebookers reserves the right to remove, at any time any BONUS+ or Eligible Hotel room nights counting toward tier status that were earned or awarded for unused products and services. BONUS+ will be removed in cases where a member receives a refund from either ebookers or a travel supplier or vendor.
4. EARNING BONUS+
To earn BONUS+ for an Eligible Booking on the Site, You must have a valid ebookers BONUS+ account and You must either (i) be signed in to the Site when making the Eligible Booking, or (ii) if you are not signed in to the Site, provide Your Member ID in the e-mail address field on the booking form when making the Eligible Booking.
No BONUS+ will be earned for bookings made on the Site when You are not signed in to the Site and provide an alternate email address to Your Member ID on the booking form.
If You enrol in the Programme after making an Eligible Booking, then BONUS+ will be earned on that Eligible Booking only if: (i) You enrol in the Programme through the “My Trips” or “Itineraries” section of the Site, (ii) You enrol in the Programme before the date of travel specified on the Eligible Booking, and (iii) the email address given on making the Eligible Booking matches with the information given when You enrol with the Programme.
BONUS+ will be awarded to a maximum of one member per Eligible Booking. Additional individuals named as travellers on the itinerary will not earn BONUS+ irrespective of whether they are also members of the Programme. If when booking a trip for another individual as a travel arranger You are either (i) signed in to the Site, or (ii) not signed in to the Site, but provide Your Member ID in the e-mail address field on the booking form, You will earn the BONUS+ for any Eligible Booking(s).
After making an Eligible Booking, the amount of BONUS+ to be awarded will be available immediately after Your booking is confirmed and will appear in Your “My ebookers BONUS+” section of Your “My Account” page.
In the event You cancel any or all components/parts of an Eligible Booking, such changes or cancellations to the booked itinerary will result in changes to the amount of BONUS+ credited/ debited to Your BONUS+ account for that itinerary. For example, if a member adds a room night to their Eligible Booking, they will earn an additional amount in BONUS+. If You cancel an Eligible Booking, Your BONUS+ earned on that Eligible Booking will be removed from Your account as far as possible. To the extent that we are not able to recover the BONUS+ from Your account (e.g. because You have applied the BONUS+ to a new booking) the refund for Your cancelled booking will be reduced by an equivalent value. In addition if You cancel an Eligible Booking paid in part by BONUS+, the BONUS+ used for the Eligible Booking may be re-issued to Your ebookers BONUS+ account with their original expiration date.
No BONUS+ will be earned for change or cancellation fees imposed by ebookers or its suppliers.
Eligible Flights: You will earn the equivalent of a percentage of the cost of Your Eligible Flight booking in BONUS+ (excluding the cost of any insurance added to the booking and any payment fees (whether charged by ebookers or the airline). This is subject to a maximum earn of the equivalent of £60 in BONUS+ for Silver Members, the equivalent of £120 in BONUS+ for Gold Members and the equivalent of £240 in BONUS+ for Platinum Members per member per calendar year (unless otherwise specified in the terms and conditions of any offer or promotion awarding additional BONUS+.)
Eligible Hotels: You will earn the equivalent of a percentage of the amount paid to ebookers by You for Your Eligible Hotel booking in BONUS+, excluding the cost of any insurance added to the booking and any payment fees (whether charged by ebookers or the hotel). You will not earn BONUS+ on any charges collected directly by the hotel, i.e. resort fees, room service, etc.
Eligible Packages: You will earn the equivalent of a percentage of the cost of Your Package booking paid to ebookers by You in BONUS+, excluding the cost of any insurance added to the booking and any payment fees (whether charged by ebookers, the airline or the hotel). You will not earn BONUS+ on any additional charges collected by the hotel, i.e. resort fees, room service, etc.
Promotional BONUS+: ebookers may periodically conduct promotions which offer promotional BONUS+ to members. Promotional BONUS+ earned from ebookers BONUS+ promotions are governed by the terms of each individual promotion which will be notified to You as part of the promotion.
You are responsible for regularly checking Your account and must notify ebookers of any omissions, incorrect entries or other discrepancies. If You believe You have not received the correct amount of BONUS+ points for an Eligible Booking, You must contact ebookers Customer Service at 020 3788 4829 (24 hours) within ninety (90) days of the booking date. ebookers will make the final determination acting reasonably as to whether points adjustments of any kind are justified for the travel in question.
If Your ebookers BONUS+ account does not represent the correct number of BONUS+ that You should have been awarded as determined by ebookers, we reserve the right to adjust Your BONUS+ balance.
5. REDEEMING BONUS+
BONUS+ can only be redeemed against Redeemable Hotels. Redeemable Hotels are designated in hotel search results by a BONUS+ "earn" message for that hotel. Purchases made with BONUS+ are subject to the point to conversion rate set by ebookers from time to time. ebookers has the right to change the point to conversion rates at any time.
BONUS+ earned on an Eligible Booking may be used towards any Redeemable Hotel booking that is paid for either using a credit or debit card, a combination of a credit or debit card and BONUS+ or entirely using BONUS+ subject to the following:
· To be eligible to use BONUS+ on the Site, You must have an account on the Site and a BONUS+ account that is active and in good standing and Your purchase must exceed the minimum transaction value required for the use of Your BONUS+ (if any).
· BONUS+ earned on an Eligible Flight or Eligible Package booking may be used towards any Redeemable Hotel booking with a check-in date (a) 24 hours after You booked the Eligible Flight or Eligible Package on which the BONUS+ were earned, or (b) on the departure date of the Eligible Flight or Eligible Package booking, whichever is earlier.
If You attempt to use BONUS+ on a Redeemable Hotel booking that does not meet the foregoing conditions, You may not be able to apply some or all of Your BONUS+ to that Redeemable Hotel booking.
BONUS+ cannot be used towards bookings that are paid for by any method other than by credit or debit card, credit or debit card and BONUS+ or entirely using BONUS+ including but not limited to bookings paid for (in whole or in part) via e-banking, PayPal or Bitcoin. BONUS+ cannot be used towards bookings that are paid for at the hotel itself. BONUS+ cannot be used to pay or offset any cancellation fee.
When booking, Your BONUS+ is automatically applied to the price shown to You if You are logged in to Your account. You will have the option in the booking path to use some or all Your BONUS+ to pay for part or all of the booking (if Your BONUS+ balance is equal to or greater than amount due) excluding the cost of any insurance added to the booking and any payment fees (whether charged by ebookers or the hotel). There is no fee to redeem Your BONUS+ on the Site. If You choose to use Your BONUS+, we will subtract the notional value/amount of the BONUS+ You are redeeming from the total amount due for Your booking. If You do not have enough BONUS+ to complete a Redeemable Hotel booking, You may use an eligible credit or debit card to complete the transaction. Eligible cards for such transactions may be limited to cards associated with the Programme from time to time. ebookers may, in its discretion, allow You to combine BONUS+ with eligible coupons (where this is possible this will be clearly stated on the Site). If You choose to redeem BONUS+, then the BONUS+ are deducted from Your ebookers BONUS+ balance immediately. You will earn BONUS+ on the portion of Your booking not paid for with BONUS+, excluding the cost of any insurance added to the booking and any payment fees (whether charged by ebookers or the hotel). If You choose not to use Your BONUS+, they will remain in Your account for future use until they expire.
If You make a multiple room booking and You choose to use Your BONUS+, Your BONUS+ will be deducted from the total cost of the booking, excluding the cost of any insurance added to the booking and any payment fees (whether charged by ebookers or the hotel). BONUS+ applied to multiple room bookings cannot be selectively applied to any one selected room but are applied to the overall total cost of the Hotel booking. In this event, You subsequently cancel one or more rooms in the multiple room booking, and if You are entitled to a refund, the amount refunded to You will be the cost of the particular room cancelled less the amount of BONUS+ proportionally applied across all rooms which will be refunded to Your ebookers BONUS+ account.
BONUS+ cannot be redeemed for cash value. BONUS+ may not be assigned, sold, transferred, and/or pledged to any third party or to another account. You have no property rights or other legal interests in BONUS+. You are responsible for any personal tax liability that may be related to participation in ebookers BONUS+ and redemption of any BONUS+.
6. EXPIRATION OF BONUS+
Except as otherwise provided in these ebookers BONUS+ Terms and Conditions, all earned non-promotional BONUS+ expire at 12 months from the date of earn. Once BONUS+ have expired they cannot be reinstated under any circumstances.
ebookers may periodically conduct promotions which offer BONUS+ to members. BONUS+ earned from ebookers BONUS+ promotions will expire according to the terms of each individual promotion and may not be refundable. Promotional BONUS+ will be credited/ debited to Your account in accordance with their terms and conditions upon completion of the promotional activity.
BONUS+ with earliest expiration will be redeemed first.
7. CHANGES TO EBOOKERS BONUS+ TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND TERMINATION
The Programme is ending on 4 September 2024. You will not be able to earn or redeem BONUS+, or use any benefits of the Programme after this time. Please see here for further information.
ebookers may at its sole discretion change or cancel these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
ebookers reserves the right to change or terminate the Programme, the Programme rules or Programme benefits, or any part thereof, in any jurisdiction, at any time with or without notice, including but not limited to changing the rules for earning/redeeming BONUS+, the expiration policy for BONUS+ and the products/services on which BONUS+ may be earned and redeemed, even though such change/termination may affect the right to earn BONUS+ or redeem BONUS+, or the value of previously earned BONUS+.
ebookers is not liable to members in any way for any value or benefits members may lose as a result of any changes made to the Programme and/or its termination.
It is the responsibility of members to check the Site regularly for any changes to the Terms and Conditions of the ebookers BONUS+ Programme. Continued use of the Programme by the member will be deemed as acceptance of the then current ebookers BONUS+ Terms and Conditions. Any previous versions of the ebookers BONUS+ Terms & Conditions are null and void.
8. GENERAL
Hotels and other suppliers participating in the Programme are subject to change at any time without notice. This will not affect bookings already made.
The general booking Terms & ConditionsOpen in a new window of the Site and the Terms of UseOpen in a new window of the Site will also apply to the earning and redeeming of BONUS+ as applicable (in addition to the Terms & Conditions of the ebookers BONUS+ programme). For example, all bookings made for Redeemable Hotels and cancellations will also be subject to the ebookers booking Terms and Conditions and any separate supplier policies that may apply.
Suspicious/Fraudulent activity
If You believe Your ebookers BONUS+ account has been the subject of any suspicious activity, please contact ebookers Customer Service immediately on 020 3788 4829 (24 hours). If it is determined You have been the victim of fraud, the BONUS+ You have earned will be transferred to a new ebookers BONUS+ account.
ebookers has the right to monitor all BONUS+ members’ account activity. If Your BONUS+ account shows signs of fraud, abuse, or suspicious activity or if there is a breach (or ebookers reasonably suspect a breach of these Terms and Conditions), including engaging in any fraudulent conduct to misuse BONUS+, engaging in illegal or fraudulent activities, supplying or attempting to supply false or misleading information, making a misrepresentation to ebookers, by selling, assigning, transferring or acquiring, or offering to sell, assign, transfer or acquire any BONUS+ other than in accordance with these Terms and Conditions this may result in ebookers revoking Your membership and any BONUS+ associated with Your account. ebookers may close or freeze Your BONUS+ account immediately and You may lose Your earned BONUS+. In addition if You have conducted any fraudulent activity, ebookers reserves the right to take any necessary legal action. You may also be liable for monetary losses to ebookers, including litigation costs and damages, and You will not be allowed to participate in ebookers BONUS+ in the future.
Bookings discovered to be fraudulent will have their BONUS+ removed and the BONUS+ account associated with such fraudulent bookings will be frozen from further BONUS+ earning or redemption activity.

Liability
ebookers makes no guarantees, warranties, or representations of any kind concerning the Programme. The Programme is void where prohibited by applicable federal, state, or local laws or regulations and is subject to such change as may be necessary to comply with such laws or regulations. By participating in the Programme, subject to the extent permitted by law, You release ebookers and its affiliates and partners from all claims or liability regarding Your participation in the Programme, including but not limited to any claims related to the earning and redemption of BONUS+.
ebookers suppliers are in no way affiliated with or responsible for ebookers BONUS+ Programme administration.
Except as provided in any law which cannot lawfully be excluded or modified by agreement, ebookers and any of their officers, employees or agents are not liable for any loss or claim of any kind (including, without limitation, consequential or economic loss or loss of profits) arising out of or related to the breach of any of these BONUS+ Terms and Conditions by any person or for consequential loss or damage arising from the supply or redemption of BONUS+ or any other of Your benefits.
Opt out of the BONUS+ Programme
You may opt out of receiving marketing messages relating to the BONUS+ Programme by clicking "unsubscribe" on the emails that you receive, or by amending your ebookers account settings.
However, since the BONUS+ Programme is directly linked to your ebookers account, in order to opt out of the BONUS+ Programme and cease being a member of the Programme, You will need to close your ebookers account by either: - Calling Customer Service on 020 3788 4829; or
· Completing the “contact us” form here: "contact us" form
This will result in both Your BONUS+ and Your ebookers accounts being closed and you will lose any room nights and BONUS+ you may have earned.
You are also able to exercise your right to be forgotten and this will result in, your BONUS+ and Your ebookers account data being deleted and you will also lose any room nights and BONUS+ you may have earned.
Disputes and other terms
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. By becoming an ebookers BONUS+ member You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in England.
Failure by ebookers to enforce any part of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that/those provisions. If part or all of any section of these Terms and Conditions is illegal, invalid or unenforceable then it will be reduced to the extent necessary to ensure that it is not illegal, invalid or unenforceable, but if that is not possible, it will be severed from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions will continue to have full force and effect.
