Entrance and lobby decor was beautiful and the staff were extremely friendly at welcoming - especially Monty when we checked in. We got a complimentary upgrade! The waiter at breakfast was lovely , so sorry I didn’t catch his name. He was very accommodating.

Family Room was nice but very small for a family who had lots of luggage as been travelling several days. Room very hot fan helped but finding a plug socket was difficult as only 2 in room and with mobile phones etc to charge it was a struggle. Room not ready when arrived i dont mind but ,when we put clothes on the storage unit it was very dusty so I doubt the extra supposed cleaning due to covid was completed and checked. Good location on seafront. Parking so tight in car park and limited spaces. 18 pound a night.dont move your car as you probably wont get another space and no refunds if that hapoens.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. We are very fortunate to have onsite parking, one of the very few hotels in Brighton to have this facility. Parking is priced competitively with other hotels in the city and is under constant review to ensure our rates are always in line with, or lower than local secure parking. Parking is only charged if your vehicle is in the car park overnight. If not there are no charges raised

Hi Anthony Thanks for taking the time to feedback following your recent stay. As all of our beds were replaced last year I'd really be interested to know which room you stayed in so we can check as to why your bed was uncomfortable

A room upgrade was offered and accepted. A free cooked breakfast was thrown in with the offer because even with a discount the breakfast was not considered great by me because of the cost of £11 for it. An additional free coffee was also offered and accepted. This agreement with the concierge was offered on check-in yet a cost of £11 was left on the room account. I simply refused to pay it as it was previously agreed and that is that. They have my contact details if they wished to discuss the matter. Photos and noise around the room were taken in order to justify the upgrade in the first place. I still have them

I am sorry there was a noise in your original room and then a confusion over your bill on check-out.
